The S-hooks grip the chain firmly enough that my pot stayed perfectly level even when I swung it to check the stew. Suspending meat over the fire was a breeze, and the whole kit feels solid enough for years of camp cooking.
Adjusting the pot height over the fire took seconds — the S-hooks grip the chain firmly without slipping, even when I jostled the whole rig. I've used these three times now and they're as solid as day one.
The hooks are plenty sturdy for suspending a heavy pot, and the chain adjusts easily when I need to lower it closer to the flames. Just the right amount of versatility without any fuss.
