The pointed tip gets right down beside the root, and the long handle gives me plenty of leverage to pop the whole thing out in one go. My back doesn't ache nearly as much as it did with my old hand trowel. Exactly what I needed for those stubborn bindweed patches.

The long steel fork slides in next to the root and pops the whole thing out clean, soil and all, so the neighbors’ lawn actually looks decent now. I used it on about fifteen dandelions this morning and barely had to bend over, which is a win for my knees.

My back usually aches after weeding, but this fork's design got the deep taproots out with surprisingly little effort, so I actually finished the whole bed in one go. The blade holds its angle well and doesn't bend, which makes all the difference on those stubborn ones.
