The walnut handle stays cool even when I’m stirring a bubbling pot right over the fire, and the hand-forged steel has a nice weight that feels solid. It hooks onto the grill grate perfectly when I need a second to grab a bowl.
I was a little worried a hand-forged ladle would feel rough or heavy, but the stainless steel is perfectly balanced and the walnut handle sits so comfortably in my hand. It hangs right on the fire pit grate when I’m not stirring, which makes cooking over the fire feel a lot more organized.
The walnut handle stays cool even after twenty minutes over the flames, and the hand-forged steel feels solid without being too heavy. I've used it for chili and gravy, and the hook makes it easy to grab off the grill mid-cook.
